The questions students ask before buying
Will this be enough to pass the Praxis?
It covers the content the Praxis Speech-Language Pathology (5331) draws on: anatomy and neuroanatomy, speech sound and language disorders, adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, fluency, voice, AAC, hearing, assessment, research and ethics, with the distinctions the exam keeps asking flagged as exam alerts. But two thirds of the Praxis asks you to apply that content: which assessment to choose, which treatment fits, what a score means. Does it include practice tests?
No, and we'd rather tell you up front. The bundle is the content: illustrated, organized and easy to review. For timed practice, use the official Praxis practice test and the question bank your program recommends. The two work together: pages to remember, questions to apply.
How is this different from Advanced Review or TherapyEd?
Those are text-based review books with practice questions. This bundle is the visual layer: the nerve, the swallow, the chart you can picture during the exam. Many students use one of each: a review book or question bank to practice, these pages to remember.
When should I start studying for the Praxis?
Start with the chapters while you take each course, so the content is already familiar when review season comes. Then give your last weeks before test day to the cram sheets and timed practice questions.
I want to work in schools (or in a hospital). Is it still for me?
Yes. The Praxis covers both settings, and so does the bundle: speech sounds, language, literacy and AAC for schools; aphasia, motor speech, cognition and dysphagia for medical settings. It's also the fastest way to review the side you didn't see in placements.
What score do I need?
ASHA requires a scaled score of 162 for the CCC-SLP. State licensure boards set their own requirement, so check yours.
The Praxis moves from ETS to PSI in January 2027. Does anything change?
From January 11, 2027 the Praxis SLP (5331) is delivered by PSI instead of ETS, and registration with PSI opens on November 3, 2026. Always check the official Praxis site for the latest dates. The bundle follows the published content outline. If the outline changes with the move, we update the chapters, and ebook buyers get the updated edition free.
